William Song is a certified hypnotherapist with a private practice in San Francisco, California. He specializes in helping people with habits and those with chronic health issues. He's the author of the book, Healing and Hypnosis, and he's the creator and producer of the YouTube show, Project Hypnosis.
Please don't confuse this show with Heidi Klum's show on Bravo, Project Runway. The two shows are very different. Prior to becoming a hypnotherapist, William worked most of his life in the financial field. Besides seeing private clients, he helps companies with their business challenges. They hire him because he understands how hypnosis skills can reduce costs, increase profits, and help teams think more creatively.

Stop smoking
Report
They say that smoking cessation is a step-by-step process, and by participating in Habit Project's smoking cessation program, it could not have been more deliberate. What you do is stop smoking to your own amazement! The real answer is to speak to the part that's in charge of smoking, and that part is your subconscious mind.
Lose weight
Report
I saw William Song because I was getting a little heavier than I wanted to be. My two goals were to cook more often (to lose some weight, for health) and work out more often. After we finished our work, I found that the barriers I'd put up just weren't there any more. Before it was hard to get motivated to cook, but now I plan my week's menu, go to the store with a list, and cook easily.

By the way, if you've tried to change a habit before, you already know it can be tough to change. One reason is that certain habits exist because there's an internal battle going on. One part of you wants to keep the habit, and another part wants to get rid of it. Using massive will power isn't the answer to changing a habit (i.e., unwanted behavior).

This group (in one form or another) has been around for years. It offers free and low-cost ways to learn hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a cousin to hypnotherapy). In my opinion, we're fortunate to have this group as a resource in the Bay Area. I've personally gained a lot from attending as well as from teaching at the practice sessions.

On the second exhalation, say, "Deeper, " stretching out the word to match the exhalation. Then gently breath in. On the third exhalation, say, "Relaxed, " stretching out the word to match the exhalation. For the next cycle, you'd repeat the sequence of saying a number, the word deeper, and then the word relaxed.
