We have lived in Cleveland, Ohio for all of our adult years. When the youngest of our 4 children was only 2 we visited Hilton Head for the first time for a business convention and immediately fell in love with the island. As many of you know, being close to the house AND the beach is a treat when traveling with young children!
We purchased 10 Ketch in 1994, and visited as time would allow, but also began accepting guests when we could not visit. Back then the internet was new, and we were one of three homes listed for rent on our initial rental site. How times have changed! Our kids grew up vacationing at the beach every year, and we have so many wonderful memories of our times there.

Report
All of our homes are in the gated community of Palmetto Dunes, located in the center of the island. Guest passes are required for entry. Our homes are through the Mariner (north) gate, which is primarily individual homes, with a couple of condo developments at the entrance.
Mooring Buoy is the main road through this area of the plantation, and the ocean streets are called T streets, because they are laid out like a capital T! Oceanfront homes are at the top of the T. Streets run from A to N--our homes are on Dinghy and Ketch.To the south of our area is the Marriott Hotel, to the north is a golf course, and then the Singleton Beach area.
