Dry Eye Treatment
Our comprehensive dry eye treatment addresses all aspects of tear film dysfunction through customized care plans. We combine advanced diagnostics with therapeutic interventions including prescription medications, punctal plugs, and lifestyle modifications. Patients receive personalized guidance on environmental adaptations and proper use of artificial tears to optimize treatment outcomes.
Punctal Plugs
This in-office procedure involves inserting tiny devices into tear ducts to conserve natural tears and maintain ocular surface moisture. We use temporary and permanent plug options to determine optimal treatment response before long-term placement. The reversible procedure provides sustained relief for chronic dry eye sufferers.
Corneal Disease Care
Specialized management of corneal conditions including ulcers, dystrophies, and post-surgical complications. Our approach combines antimicrobial therapy, corneal cross-linking, and advanced wound healing techniques to preserve vision and corneal integrity. Regular monitoring ensures timely intervention for progressive conditions.

I WISH my primary Doctor was actually kind, patient, caring and as detailed as Dr. Latkany is. Dr. Latkany is hands down - the best eye doctor (or any doctor for that matter), that I've ever been to. Worth the long train rides. I also really would encourage anyone (who had LASIK or not) to get his book!!! I have chronic severe dry eye disease, and Dr. Latkany's help and his book helped me a LOT! Worth every penny (his book and services). If you need an eye doctor, PLEASE SEE Dr. Robert Latkany!

I have an ocular herpes in my cornea. I was super worried when I moved to New York that I dont know any specialists for it. I found him through a Yelp review with my symptom and Ive been happily seeing him for almost 10 years now. He is everything one would look for in a doctor. Highly highly recommend him.

Dr. Latkany has one of the best bedside manners you will find. He's very knowledgeable and even tempered. My corneas have been a hot mess for over a decade. (NO fault of the doctor's) This gentleman def wants his patients to get their eyes healthy! He does his part, will do what he can to ease discomfort, and make suggestions on what he thinks are in your best interests. BUT only you the patient can push yourself to want to heal and take his advice.

I have not seen Dr. Latkany in awhile but when I did he was very kind. He is very knowledgeable regarding dry eye and especially ocular rosacea. He went above and beyond by answering questions after hours and setting me up with a great dermatologist. He referred me to a great allergist to get more insight and even sent me to get my eyes cultured to try to get more information. If I lived closer to NYC I would see him as my primary eye doctor.
