Columbia Ballet School is committed to helping students develop technical skills, artistry, discipline, self-confidence, and respect for themselves and others. While these qualities are the basis for dance education, they also are critical to the development of the student as a person. Our ultimate goal is to support the development of healthy and happy people, and we do this through a partnership with the dancers and their parents.
The Columbia Ballet School was founded more than 40 years ago by Anita Ashley. The vigorous training program has helped dancers prepare for professional careers in the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Cincinnati Ballet, Austin Ballet, Louisville Ballet, Nashville Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Report
More than 40 years ago, Columbia Ballet School opened in a small studio in Five Points. Its goal then, and its purpose now, is to help young dancers develop technical skills, artistry, discipline, self-confidence, and respect for themselves and others. While these qualities are the basis for dance education, they also are critical to the development of the student as a person.
Programs
Report
Dancers begin with a love of movement and music that can grow into dance. At this age, our experienced teachers are focusing on developing a child's ability to take a group class, work together, and learn dance basics. Your child's classes are chosen based on a combination of age and technical ability.
