Ankle sprains are caused by an unnatural twisting or force on the ankle bones of the foot, often resulting in one or more ligaments on the outside of the ankle to be stretched or torn. If not properly treated, ankle sprains could develop into long-term problems.

Dr. Marsh graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio and received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1985, completing her residency at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, FL. She is an Ohio native but fell in love with Tampa and has never left. Dr. Marsh has a special interest in geriatric podiatry and managed a unique home-care and facility practice in the Tampa Bay area for over 25 years.
