Services
Wisdom Teeth
Report
Oftentimes, people are unaware that they may have an additional set of teeth growing under the surface of their gums that can cause significant problems. This third set of molars, or "wisdom teeth" as they are more commonly known, are often undetectable until they become a problem. Sometimes, they grow beneath the surface of the gums, and an x-Ray must be obtained to determine if they are present.
All-On-Four Treatment Concept
Report
Our doctors at Oral Surgery Specialists of Atlanta perform a unique dental implant solution called the All-on-4 Treatment Concept, also known as Teeth-in-an-Hour. The All-on-4 Treatment Concept offers patients in need of a full-arch replacement a faster procedure and healing time. In this procedure, four (or possibly more) implants are placed in the patient's upper or lower jaw to secure a complete denture.
Bone Grafting
Report
It is common for patients who have been missing a tooth or several teeth for an extended period of time to need a bone grafting procedure. When a tooth is lost and not replaced, the jaw bone may begin to resorb, or deteriorate, making some tooth replacement procedures, like the placement of dental implants, difficult to perform.
General Tooth Grafting
Report
Teeth that have been damaged by decay or traumatic fracture can sometimes be fixed with a filling, root canal, or crown. However, at times, there is too much damage for one of these procedures, in which case the damaged tooth or teeth must be removed. Some common reasons for needing a tooth extraction include infection, crowding, and tooth loosening.
Oral Pathology
Report
Oral pathology is the medical term for any disease that can develop inside the oral cavity and associated structures, including the jaws or salivary glands. There are many varieties of oral pathological processes. If you think that you may be experiencing an oral pathological process, you may notice a change in the appearance of your mucosa.
