During the summer of 1996, Aggie McCormick decided to move boldly to pursue a dream that she had to start an AAU basketball program that would offer more opportunities for community youth. She knew that while there were a couple of choices for girls in the area who wished to compete at the AAU level, there was no meaningful local northern virginia organization that was available in the Fairfax County area for boys to play AAU basketball without having to travel to Maryland or the District of Columbia.

Coach Aggie McCormick has coached AAU/Travel basketball for more than 20 years, and is the Founder of the Fairfax Stars AAU/Travel basketball program. The 2019 season will mark Coach McCormick's return as the Head Coach for the U17 Girls Nike EYBL team. She previously served as the Head Coach for 8 years from 2009-2016.

Coach Ivan Jones is entering his 13th year with The Fairfax Stars Basketball Program. He started his tenure with The Stars as the head coach of the U13-Maroon Boys' Team & assistant coach of the U12-Black Boys' Team. Since then he has coached the 14, 15, 16 & 17U boys' teams along with 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grade girls' team.

Faith Randolph currently coaches at Washington Liberty HS in Arlington, VA as the Varsity Girls Head Basketball Coach. She trains boys/girls basketball players in the DMV area as well. She focuses on fundamentals, defense, shooting mechanics, as well as having a variety of offensive tools. Faith has won numerous awards during her basketball playing career.
