Mr. Brown grew up in San Antonio and began his Martial Arts training as a teenager. He has received his 5th degree Black Belt from Singleton's Martial Arts. He also spent nearly 2 decades under Master Michael Payne. David has also received BJJ training under Karun Fiedier San Antonio's first BJJ Black Belt, certified to teach Hagganah Israeli self -defense and knife fighting under Mike Lee Kanarek.

He started teaching Martial Arts at 16 with Mr. Brown and has been doing it full time ever since.

Easily the best place to train at, great culture, great people, great family vibe they have there. The instructors want to see their students succeed and will challenge them. Always clean and sanitary, they preach hygiene and keeping your gear clean. There’s a reason they’re one of, if not the only 5 star rated karate school in San Antonio. As someone who’s been training here since I was 5, now soon to be 18, there’s no place i’d rather train then World Karate.

All of my 3 daughters and son have been enrolled in there martial arts classes since 2009. Great family atmosphere . We joined World Karate a few months ago and little did we know what an impact it would have. The facility itself is very nice, always clean. The coaches are amazing. Firm, yet caring. It's not just the Karate they teach, they also instill important values that they can apply anywhere in life. We are to happy to have found this family.

I highly recommend! My son is in the Little Dragons class and it has been great for him. His balance has significantly improved but so has his confidence and manners. The instructors are top notch and make the classes entertaining to watch (even for us adults!). I also like that every class has a lesson for them to practice at home and at school (humility, kindness, respect, etc).

I have been very impressed by this karate school. They instill positive values and thoughts into the minds of their students. Good, solid, traditional hard working values, accountability and inner strength. They're great role models for kids! The physical training and techniques are practical and make sense. The instructors have a great balance of being serious when needed, but injecting humor into class at times as well. All the instructors are upstanding people, the place is kept clean, and I have zero complaints about how they run things.

As a retired AF officer, we had been looking for a professional Karate program for our boys. World Karate is simply outstanding! They reach the hearts of the boys and girls who attend and offer them lessons in karate and lessons in life in a great style interspersed with humor that our two boys 9 and 7 love!! They look forward to going every day - personalized instruction from the World Karate team ensures that these boys and all the boys and girl’s love it. For over ten years my family has had the privilege of learning and growing at World Karate. My daughter started at World Karate in January and absolutely loves it, as do I! They teach so much more than karate. She has Sensory Processing Disorder and I’ve seen her confidence grow in just a few short… months. She’s making eye contact and speaking up more often. It’s amazing. She is excited to go to karate every week and has set her own goals for her training. I often hear her practicing upstairs (can’t miss it!), which is something she never did in five years of playing soccer. I highly recommend World Karate!

The owner and team of World Karate is simply amazing. They are very attentive to every kids needs, abilities and constantly fill the air with positive words. They teach discipline while still making the kids smile as they are personable as well. We drive 30 mins to get to this location and it is well worth it. I recommend World Karate on every level. The facility is top notch as well.

A lot of people are capable of teaching martial arts. Punching, kicking, etc. Only a few are able to teach being a better person.
Mr Brown and his team do just that, the focus is on making the students better people through martial arts. Effort, leadership, humility, are all lessons they teach to the students while they learn the punches, kicks, rolls.
They are all phenomenal teachers and I'm thankful that we found World Karate for our son.

The instructors are amazing. Constantly reinforcing strong spirit, humility and responsibility amongst many other great things. The facility is spotless and comfortable. The level of professionalism and true caring for the kids is second to none. This has been the best thing I have enrolled my son in and it will be a lifelong journey. I have been impressed with some aspect at every visit. I also am a gym owner, I realize what it takes to earn a 5 star review... World Karate deserves 6 stars!

The teachers and their focus on developing the whole child is amazing. My sons confidence has gone thru the roof due to all the recognition they provide to him during the class. He is always letting me know when they said “great job” and it just encourages to keep getting better. The sparring is incorporated at a perfect time in their development… such that they continue to learn the required skills and are comfortable with sparring their peers. I highly recommend this program for anyone interested in learning martial arts in a supportive environment.
