Warning: Dr. Monica Hannon's office advertises that it is welcoming new patients. It is not. I have a PPO health plan and verified that Dr. Hannon is an in-network provider. When confirming my upcoming appointment, I learned I would have to pay a $150 "deposit" to cover my visit because the office expected it would take a while to get reimbursed by my out-of-state insurance. OK, so I asked how much my visit would cost. More than $150? Less? What do you charge for an office visit and a routine procedure? Neither the front office nor the billing department could say. I came to see Dr. Ziyad because I was diagnosed with a fibroid at the ER when I was on vacation. Wanted a second opinion to see if that was the cause of my painful periods and as expected all obgyns that I saw told me the same thing: that my fibroid is not the cause of the pain and treat it with painkillers and did no further tests. I know something is off when my body tells me so. Doctors often dismiss our pain and we need to be our own advocate. If you're on the same boat, dont give up and look for a 3rd and 4th opinion! Long overdue review but finally able to post this! They took me in even though my medical plan did not allow CPMC! Ofcourse they had my insurance information but decided not to tell me till the very end. After getting through all my appointments when I am near my due date they decide to tell me that I cannot give birth at CPMC. So they tried to extend my stay as long as they could and stress me out during my last month of pregnancy to look for a new doctor and search for a new hospital!! Below average care and the Office is very small with very outdated equipment.

DO NOT GO TO DR ZIYAD HANNON. I was extremely dissatisfied with his care and consulting on birth control options. He clearly did not care about my wellbeing or body or health history, since he did not ask me a SINGLE question. And when I asked him questions he gave extremely short and superficial information that I can easily find in a 3 second google search.

I had less then ideal experience with Monica Hannon in the Emergency Room a few weeks ago. She was completely inattentive, rude, and when asked what the recovery would look like told me I would be in pain for the following weeks and would have to deal with it (I could not walk, the pain was so severe). In tears, completely in shock over how rude she was, i tried to shake it off thinking it was just me and I was overly exhausted. But when she left I had two different nurses and another resident doctor come in and apologize for the way she talked to me and treated me, confirming I was not just exhausted

I had an amazing pregnancy and delivery with Dr. Ziyad Hannon as my OBGYN. He was very attentive, thoughtful, and made the experience very comfortable.It was wonderful to have him deliver our daughter as the second generation after delivering me and my twin sister and I back in 1989. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the SF area.
