From our neighbor, librarian, South Side advocate, and a big fan of, among other things, our frozen hot chocolate. Grab a coffee, snag a bagel, get some beans, suspend a purchase for someone in need to claim, cop some merch, place a special order - whatever it is, if you care about businesses that always practice what they preach and go the extra mile to be genuine stewards in the community, make a point to show Community Grounds some love during these uncertain times.

Jacques Angelino, a former special needs educator and nurse, has worked to serve people by hand delivering food and books to those who cannot access it otherwise, for more than 20 years. He operates on simple principles: every person deserves dignity, food to eat and the right to literacy. Donations for Feed & Read Ohio are accepted at the table just to the right of the entrance at Community Grounds, and can also be given to your barista.

We stand in solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples who have been stewards of this land and water from time immemorial. We acknowledge the sorted history that brought us here, and our place within that history. Colonialism is ongoing and we are present participants. We honor the Indigenous elders who lived here before, our Indigenous neighbors today, and the generations to come.
