Michael and Michele Gwinup established Blue Spruce Pottery in Bend Oregon after moving there in 1976. It is a family owned and operated business run with the Gwinup's daughter and son in law, Melissa and Patrick Woodman. All of Blue Spruce Pottery's pots are made on a potter's wheel or hand built from slabs of clay.
The clay and glazes are made using special formulas that have been developed over the past 42 years. All of our stoneware pottery is lead-free, dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Living in the High Desert of Central Oregon has brought the beauty of that landscape into their work. The Gwinup Family feels very fortunate to live in such a place and to be able to make a living doing what they love.
