Out-of-Door is an independent day school in Sarasota, Florida educating students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The Uihlein Campus at Lakewood Ranch opens, expanding Out-of-Door's program to include grades 9-12. Our picturesque, historic campus features recently renovated classroom buildings, art studios, music rooms, technology labs, science labs, an outdoor amphitheater, outdoor and covered play areas, and state-of-the-art age appropriate playground equipment.

In 1924, Fanneal Harrison and Catherine Gavin founded a school with the vision to establish a uniquely progressive school committed to high academic standards and to nourishing the minds, bodies, and spirits of children. They envisioned a school where some of the most important lessons would be learned "out-of-door" or outside the classroom.
