San Jose native and owner of While You Were Out, Kerry "Alex" Vierra, has over 15 years in the veterinary care industry. For many years she worked as a doctor's assistant, then as a surgical nurse, and most recently as a neurology nurse at the most respected specialty facilities in the Bay Area.
This experience in both general and specialty practice gives her a unique and valuable skill set in caring for animals who require special medical attention and/or post operative care.While You Were Out has been an idea since 2005, finally coming to fruition at the start of 2012 fueled by Alex's inclination for entrepreneurship and, most importantly, her passion for animals.
