In 2008, John partnered with his sister Barbara Thornbury to become 4th generation owners of Congleton Lumber. Prior to the purchase, John served in a variety of management capacities in Thoroughbred Horse industry. He was a National Thoroughbred Insurance Underwriting and risk manager for several publicly traded companies.
