UpStage Theatre Company was established in 2002 to serve as a venue to nurture and expand the talents of African-American artists working collaboratively with establish artists to create and develop works that challenges us to see ourselves and our world in new ways. Acting Workshops, Emerging Playwright Project, Spring Break and Summer Camps, Private acting lessons, Playback Theatre, The Annual Star Awards, Open-Mic Night, and Youth Productions.

You must be 18 years of age to enter. The play must be unpublished, original works only. The play must be full length, at least 90 minutes. Dramas, comedies, and farces are accepted, no adaptations or musicals accepted. Cast size is limited to six characters, with interesting storylines, requiring only a single set.
