Karen initially started working at Garland Laundry in 1981 and then transferred to Barton Laundry from 1983-1988. Her career in dry cleaning began early as she began to find her permanent home. In 1988, she transferred to her final dry cleaning company, Conly Cleaners & Laundry. This would be her final transfer.
