Pasley Ballet School began in the 1950's when Nancy (then Smalling) taught the neighborhood kids in Ames, Iowa. After moving to Grand Forks with her family, Nancy started her own studio in the basement of her home. She quickly outgrew her small basement studio and moved to the Hempp Centre in 1983.
After the flood of 1997, Pasley Ballet School was forced to move, and happily acquired the beautiful building (originally a church) where we are today. We remodeled and built our current studio with wall-to-wall mirrors, professionally built ballet barres, professional Marley dance floor, and state of the art sound system.

Report
We know we cannot expect children to attend every single class, however it is difficult to progress from week to week when students are frequently absent. Please call or let us know ahead of time when your child will be absent. We can try to arrange for another class time, but refunds are not available.
Classes
Report
We offer a variety of classes for children of 18 months and up; boys only hip-hop, teens and adults. Classes are taught everyday of the week, including weekends. Since ballet is the foundation for every type of dance, dancers must be enrolled in a ballet class to be eligible to attend any of the other dance classes.
Recital
Report
Dress rehearsal is the Friday night prior to the main performance. There is no cost to attend the recital, so all friends and family are encouraged to come. This is a very special night for the dancers, so we expect our audience to be on their best behavior. Please refrain from excessive talking, using phones or tablets, or standing/walking during the dances.
