North Suburban Counseling Center is a private, non-profit, community mental health clinic located in Coon Rapids, MN. We have been serving the northern suburbs since 1985. The clinic is approved by the State of Minnesota as a Rule 29 clinic. Our staff is interdisciplinary and includes professionals from the fields of psychiatry, psychology, clinical social work and marriage and family therapy.

North Suburban Counseling Center provides mental health services for most insurance carriers and managed care organizations. Clients are encouraged to call their insurance carrier to verify benefits, network coverage and to receive an authorization. Please bring your insurance card to your first appointment and notify us of any changes to your insurance coverage.

A You will be asked to fill out paperwork before you see the counselor. The counselor will conduct an intake interview with you. Normally, this can take up to 2 sessions. The focus of these sessions is to determine what kinds of changes you want to make in your life and to assess the mental health symptoms you are experiencing.
