When in Houston and feeling sushi, Akashi is pretty much on the top of the list. Food usually comes out in a good reasonable time and Ive never had a problem with this place. Its a nice vibe and has a clean feel. Architecture is good as well.
(I went on a Sunday evening around 4:45p no crowd, but it did pick up closer to 6p)

They have excellent sushi as well as other Asian cuisine that is equally excellent. The bar has great cocktails and the restaurant is visually appealing as well. I eat here at least once a week. It is definitely one of my favorites near me! Highly recommend the sushi!

First time, found it on the map. Atmosphere was good, decorations are "simple" but enough for the theme. We were quickly seated for a party of 5. Good selection of food and drinks. No kid menus, though. Food tasted great, no complaints around the table, portion size was enough to get you full and maybe take some home. Bar was unexpectedly bigger than I thought for an Asian restaurant.
Restroom: I walked in for a second to grab tissue but it seemed like there was only one stall. I noticed a patio but nobody was seated outside. Would recommend and will return.

Everything I've had so far has been delicious...spring rolls, egg rolls, spicy edamame, sushi. The environment is great, and the waiters have been very helpful also. I will be back for more!
