Tubby & Coo's is a local, queer-owned, progressive, nerdy, independent book shop in Mid-City New Orleans focused on science fiction and fantasy, queer, and diverse books. Used Book Buying Policy
Report
We get a ton of questions about used book donations, types of books we accept, when we accept used books, & more. We may not be able to review your books quickly or immediately if we are busy or if you bring in more than a dozen books at a time. In this case, we will request that you leave your books with us for later review and fill out our book intake form.
Antiracist Action Plan
Report
Tubby & Coo's has been very vocal about our support of BIPOC communities (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), and we believe that racism intersects with homophobia, misogyny, xenophobia, classism, ableism, and every -ism across the board. We also unequivocally believe that Black Lives Matter.
As a white business owner, I personally am committed to taking real action to dismantle racism both inside and outside of the bookstore while promoting equity and justice.I believe that doing better as a business and as a person requires more than simply stating support and creating lists of books.
