In the summer of 2014, Sneed's was the venue for a simple, yet intimate wedding for a local couple looking to exchange vows in a unique setting. One of our employees created a bouquet for the bride and opened our eyes to her hidden talents. Prior to Sneed's, Dana worked with well known floral designers in Charlottesville and Richmond for almost two decades.
She even operated a small floral business out of her home in Forest Hill for a few years. With the purchase of a floral cooler and a makeover for the greenhouse, our flower shop opened for business in January of 2015. Since then, we have provided flowers for weddings from Berkley Plantation in Charles City to Richmond and Charlottesville.

We are here to serve you in whatever capacity suits you best. Our nursery and cottage are open for business and our staff are vaccinated. If you prefer to shop from home, check out our online store. You can buy online and then pick up in our back lot. Super easy! Because we don't have our entire inventory on the web, you can also email your wish list to Jessica.

Developed for the do-it-yourselfer who needs a little guidance, our We Plan, You Plant service will help you find just the right plants to suit your landscape. Pick one area of your yard that needs attention: side yard, foundation, privacy hedge, etc. During your appointment at the nursery, the designer will take a look at pictures of the area, listen to your ideas, and then show you plants that will work for you.

Our focus on organics and sustainable gardening practices is what drives us every day. In January of 2008 we eliminated synthetic fertilizers and pesticides from our shelves. We also eliminated grass seed and lawn products from our product selection. Why grass seed? Lawns are huge consumers of water and fertilizer which leads to run off into The James River and ultimately the bay.
