APS Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) ingrains the time-critical, counter-intuitive skills necessary to solve life-threatening airplane upsets that precede Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I), the number one fatal threat to air safety. Each customized APS UPRT course is standardized, tested, and quality assured to the Every Pilot In Control Solution Standard (EPIC-S2) for safe and effective Upset Training.

Corporate & Executive
Report
Despite robust Safety Management Systems (SMS) and an excellent safety record, Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I) remains a significant threat as the number one cause of fatal accidents in corporate and executive aviation. APS directly addresses the risk of LOC-I through industry-leading Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) solutions, customized to your flight department needs and specific aircraft type(s).
Military & Government
Report
Military and government operators are often required to fly in conditions that bring them close to the edge of the performance envelope to accomplish their assigned mission, potentially placing those aircrews at a greater risk of experiencing a Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I).
Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) efficiently teaches pilots the critical skill set necessary to overcome human factors and prevent, or if necessary, recover from loss of control.Start by selecting an Initial Core UPRT Program based on your training needs and aircraft preference. Next, if desired, you can add additional training enhancements to further strengthen your training.

Flight Schools
Report
Flight schools providing initial flight training impact a new pilot's professionalism, flight discipline, and the manual handling skills they use their entire flying career. Adding UPRT during these formative years develops a further layer of valuable safety skills the pilot will use and build upon for life.
Owners & Operators
Report
Nearly 45% of all general aviation fatalities were the result of Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I), according to a General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC) report. Today's required pilot training does not include UPRT, which teaches the skills required to correctly recognize, prevent, and recover from LOC-I situations.
Recurrent Training
Report
The APS Recurrent UPRT program is available to APS graduates who have previously completed an initial UPRT course. Participants can choose to repeat their initial full UPRT course or take the basic recurrent 1-day refresher course designed to powerfully restore essential pilot capabilities to prevent, or if necessary, recover from LOC-I, the most lethal safety threat in aviation.
