Impact Jiu Jitsu Albuquerque
When Ben and I started this gym, it was important to us to have a concise mission statement to live and run our business by. We've always come back to "Good People, Good Jiu Jitsu". While it's of utmost importance to us that our jiu iitsu is intentional, profound and effective. Wear whatever uniform you want to train in.

We provide uniforms, but we do not extort our students by requiring that they buy a whole new training kit just because they've switched schools, or force them to choose our brand instead of the one they might prefer. You are you. We respect that and encourage that. It is the diversity and unique strengths of the individual that gives our community its strength, creativity, durability, and excellence.

Book Private Lessons
Report
Private and semi-private lessons are a great way to accelerate your learning, gain insight and break through plateaus. Students are encouraged to define a goal or problem, explore new skills, tactics and strategies, or incorporate the more ineffable aspects of Jiu Jitsu into their game. Each 60-minute private or semi-private lesson is $100 and will be charged upon reservation.
Jiu Jitsu
Report
All visitors and new members are highly encouraged to participate in our free 30-minute orientation class. In this class you will tour the gym, learn some basic Jiu Jitsu terminology and moves, and have the opportunity to ask lots of questions. If the orientation class does not fit your schedule, or if you've done a bit of Jiu Jitsu before, you are welcome to start with another beginner level class.
Striking
Report
The purpose of this course is to teach students the essential elements required for striking in MMA or self defense. In this we will still take a Street. Sport. Art perspective. The course material is centered around the punches (or palm strikes), kicks, elbows and knees, blocking and evading as well as footwork, clinch, and managing distance.
Children's Jiu Jitsu
Report
Our older students follow a tailored curriculum, based on Impact's current Blue Belt Curriculum for adults. The curriculum was designed at Impact by Impact and supports preparation for Blue Belt eligibility at age 16 and requires significant knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This program supports basic and advanced BJJ techniques and offers tournament preparation.
