Robert was born and raised in North Carolina where he graduated from Western Carolina University. He began his career as a private club General Manager in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986. He went to work for ClubCorp and moved to Florida where he was general manager at DeBary Golf & Country Club and Countryside Country Club.

Located on beautiful Boca Ciega Bay, Isla Del Sol YCC is convenient to both the Gulf of Mexico (10 minutes) and downtown St. Petersburg (30 minutes). Almost daily, our members enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the Gulf. Social and dining facilities are open to transient members of any reciprocal yacht club.

At Isla Del Sol, you will find a tennis program that is perfect for you, whether you are a serious player, a social player, a beginner or an expert. Our Tennis Center consists of nine lighted, Har-Tru Courts along with a fully staffed Tennis Pro Shop. We offer first class instruction, clinics, member events, round robins, mixed doubles, active singles and doubles competitions, and other events held throughout the year.

Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club's Fitness Center is located adjacent to our Tennis Center and features 24 hour access to state of the art fitness equipment, cardio equipment, free weights, and a strech room. The Club offers our Members the chance to train with several certified personal trainers to assist them in achieving and maintaing a higher level of fitness.
