Hello, my name is Chris Nastri and I am a guitar teacher based in Scottsdale, AZ (Thomas/101). I studied in the ASU Jazz Dept, have a bachelor's degree in secondary education from ASU, I have 17 years of teaching experience and have been the lead guitarist in the rock band Frequis for over 8 years.
I can show you how to play guitar in the style you want and put together a customized lesson plan based on your goals that will keep you interested, excited and challenged. I also enjoy teaching those who think they have absolutely no musical ability! I will take on any student no matter how young or old or rhythmically challenged.

I appreciate all types of music and will happily teach you what ever songs or style of music inspires you. I was born in Connecticut and started playing guitar when I was 15 years old. Back then, my influences were rock 'n' roll and heavy metal. I was inspired by popular rock bands of the early '90s such as Motley Crue, Metallica, Poison, Megadeth, Def Leppard, Faith No More, STP, and Alice in Chains.
Jam Sessions

Jam Sessions/Open Mic are held regularly every four to six weeks at my studio where I give lessons. They are usually held on Saturday nights from 6pm to 9pm. Only my students are invited, so the atmosphere is one of low pressure and fun. Everyone is just getting started and it is perfectly OK to make mistakes or be nervous, I promise you wont be the only one.

I charge $75 per hour. Each lesson is 1 hour, a 90 minute lesson is $100. I teach Monday through Thursday from 10am to 9pm, and Friday from 10am to 6pm, sorry no weekends. Lessons are one hour long and typically occur weekly at a set time. I try to be as flexible as I can with scheduling to make it convenient for people to take guitar lessons, so even if you have a strange work schedule, I can usually find a way to make it work.
