About Us

Wendy Fereday has been teaching swimming lessons to all ages since 1974. She started the Wendy Fereday Swim School in 1995 and has been a current member of the United States Swim School Association since that time. She holds a B.A. in Ergonomics (Physiology of Exercise), a teaching credential in Physical Education, and a coaching certificate in swimming.

We pride ourselves on offering your child the best fit for their abilities and stage of swimming development. The Wendy Fereday Swim School offers continuous enrollment, allowing new and returning clients to register any time during the year. Once you register for a class, the class date and time are yours until you decide to cancel swim lessons or transfer to another day or time.

We started swimming lessons for Addy when she turned 1. She like the water but hated the lessons. She cried and screamed for the entire 30 minutes for 12 straight lessons. It was so stressful and we came close to taking her out of swim. After the holiday break, out of no where, she stopped crying and started laughing and smiling.

Please park in the Providence Hall/ Emmanuael Lutheran Parking Lot adjacent to the Vista Del Monte Facility. See Map. Please Note: Only enter & exit the parking lot on the Vista Del Monte side. Swim suit, swim diapers (ages 0-4), towel, dry clothes and/or pajamas, shampoo (conditioner, soap, body wash etc.), a toy belonging to the child that will provide comfort in new situation.

Here is a flyer explaining the environment and procedures at our Vista Del Monte facility. We do not offer make-ups, refunds, or credits for missed lessons unless there is a pool closure beyond our control at which time a credit will be applied to your account and deducted from your next monthly payment.
