Dr. Pomeraniec utilizes the semi-structured psychiatric diagnostic interview within a biopsychosocial framework to establish a diagnostic assessment. Prior to providing treatment recommendations, Dr. Pomeraniec may recommend further laboratory analysis and/or neuroimaging to rule out clinically relevant medical conditions.
In addition, Dr. Pomeraniec utilizes genetic testing to understand a patient's response to medication by reviewing pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic genes that play a crucial role in both metabolism and impact of medications. This helps decrease the length of time required to reach symptom remission.
