In a city like Houston where fast paced living is the norm and transportation can be lengthy, our day to day living is very much impacted by our own physical and functional health. At OPTherapy & Wellness it is our mission to empower each one of our patients to live independently to the best of their capability.

We not only provide you with a personalized plan of care, but we also take the time to give you in depth education and understanding of how to manage, minimize, and prevent any further pain. When you become a patient you become family. Your care does not end as soon as you walk out the door. If you are referred by your primary care physician, we take the time to work collaboratively with them to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Head & Neck Injury/Pain
Report
Neck pain, headaches, and other pain around the face, under the eyes, and jaw can impact our everyday life. A thorough evaluation by our licensed physical therapist will help identify the root source of your pain. By identifying the cause of your pain a tailored care plan will determine the treatment interventions implemented to get you back to feeling your best.
Shoulder & Arm Injury/Pain
Report
The shoulder joint is a complex combination of bones which come together to join the arm to the torso. It is considered a ball and socket joint due to the rounded shape of your upper arm bone (humerus) joining together with the cup shaped end of the shoulder blade (scapula). Another joint associated with the shoulder includes the joint formed by the acromion (projection of the scapula) and the clavicle (collarbone).
Back Injury/Pain
Report
If you are suffering from lower back pain, you are not alone. It is the 'common cold' of all pain. In most people, their lower back pain goes away on its own, but in some of us it can become chronic. Chronic pain can significantly impact our quality of life, and lead to severe disability. A painful back can be a result from an accident, trauma, chronic injury, or secondary to various disease or conditions.
Hip & Pelvic Injury/Pain
Report
Although hip pain is a common complaint seen by physical therapists, many times the cause of the hip pain originates elsewhere in the body. Injuries and conditions such as a sports hernia, a groin muscle strain, and sacroiliac joint (SI joint) dysfunction can radiate pain to the hip area.

The hip is a ball and socket joint joining together our legs to the rest of our body, and we depend on this joint for the majority of our body's functional movement patterns. It's this dependency of the hip which makes hip pain a debilitating symptom, and can have a crippling impact on our everyday life.
