Report
Kern Community College District (KCCD) serves communities over 24,800 square miles in parts of Kern, Tulare, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino counties through the programs of Bakersfield College, Cerro Coso College and Porterville College. Governed by a locally elected Board of Trustees, the district's colleges offer programs and services that develop student potential and create opportunities for our citizens.

Beginning in Fall 2015, with the assistance of The Community College League of California, the Kern Community College District embarked on a major project to update its board policies and administrative procedures and align them with changes in laws, regulations and accreditation standards.As board policies are adopted by the board of trustees and administrative procedures are developed, they will be posted on the District's website.

Community education in the Kern Community College District provides a broad spectrum of short-term, not-for-credit, fee-based courses designed to teach a skill, grow a hobby, or fulfill a desire for learning. Community education courses provide local residents of Bakersfield College, Cerro Coso Community College and Porterville College the opportunity to meet new friends and learn something new in a welcoming environment.
