The cranio-cervical junction (CCJ) is located at the base of the skull. The CCJ contains the critical structures of the lower brainstem, dura, vertebral arteries and suboccipital muscles. Misalignment of this area can negatively affect the nervous system, blood/csf flow and overall posture. Our practice is designed to help patients regain function and decrease pain by improving CCJ alignment and strengthening the muscular system.
We specifically deploy Atlas Upper Cervical Care and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT(R)) to achieve this. Atlas Upper Cervical Care uses 3-D digital analysis and sound wave technology to asses and correct CCJ misalignment. Muscle Activation Techniques(R) uses range of motion testing and precise muscle stimulation to assess and restore function to muscles with decreased contractibility.

Report
After your first correction, you may begin to feel changes in some of the symptoms associated with your case; even within the first 24 hours. The long-standing compensating posture (body imbalance) has been released and the healing process has begun. Our goal in this phase is to establish a pattern of "holding" the new alignment and minimizing time "out" of alignment moving forward.
