Digitizing is the specialized process of converting 2 dimensional artwork into stitches or thread. The digitizer is programming the sewing machine to sew a specific design, in a specific color, with a specific type of stitch from the artwork. Effects can be included to "spruce up" a normally flat piece of artwork.
Screenprint

The screens are developed using a light sensitive emulsion to expose the screen with light for a short period of time. The dark areas (the image) on the film positive will prevent light from passing through and exposing the screen, The light will pass through clear areas of the film positive and harden the emulsion.
