We get in touch with nature, animal friends, and we garden. We spend lots of time outside on our 30 acre farm, Enchanted Woodlands, to explore, climb and run wild and free! Melissa began her journey in mindfulness and holistic care with an initial career in Chinese Medicine. Realizing that her passion was based on supporting young children, she embarked on creating this love-filled, holistic childcare center. She opened for business in 2013 and since then has been teaching little humans the beauty of mindfulness, the power of gratitude and the importance of appreciation for all this life has to offer.

Melissa Peck, Owner and Director of Mama Melli Childcare Center, is first and foremost a mom. She has two beautiful children that she and her husband are raising in South Austin. It is incredibly important to her that she creates an environment for her children, and all children, where they can feel loved, safe, and happy and free to play, be curious, explore and imagine.

Our Forest Program, The Butterfly Garden, offers a nature-inspired educational experience for your child. Whether you are looking for a nature preschool or forest kindergarten, you have come to the right place. Indeed, nature is a magical place for learning! We are an all-outdoor Forest Kindergarten (outdoor preschool) offering our students picnics outside, creative play in the forest, and adventures in nature every day!
