A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of problems that affect the gums and other supporting tissues of the teeth. If you want to keep your teeth for life - a completely reasonable goal in this day and age - you need to make sure the tissues that surround them are also healthy.

Scaling & Root Planing
Report
Scaling and root planing is a careful and thorough cleaning of the root surfaces in order to remove plaque and tartar from your gum pockets and to help smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial and help make it easier for your to keep your teeth clean at home. Sometimes after scaling and root planing, if good homecare is achieved, many patients do not require any further active treatment.
Extractions
Report
An extraction is the removal of a tooth from your mouth. This can be done easily and painlessly in our office.

Extractions are done for many reasons, such as: tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to render the tooth non-restorable, bone loss around a tooth due to an issue with the tooth itself, problematic exposed wisdom teeth that are causing pain or periodontal issues, or to make space for orthodontic treatment or an implant, etc.
Implants
Report
A dental implant is a device that replaces a tooth that has been removed or may have been already missing. A dental implant, over other replacement options, provides several advantages by replacing a tooth without sacrificing the health of the teeth surrounding it. This procedure is done painlessly in our office over the course of a few visits.
