I researched the food doctors in the area before selecting Dr. Blackmer. He's the 4th doctor I've seen after having extreme foot pain for 18 months (not all in ID). I had multiple tears in various tendons, swelling, arthritis, tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, bursitis. I've barely walked in this time as I was in so much pain and no shoes were tolerable. I spent 4 months in a boot and doing physical therapy with little improvement. I was looking at surgery. On my first visit, Dr. Blackmer said let's try to avoid surgery. I honestly cannot write a review that will make anyone understand how incredible Blackmer Foot & Ankle is. I was one of those who had horror stories from a previous Foot Dr, and dealt for almost 5 years with pain because I was terrified to go back to another one. I had an ingrown toe nail removed today at Blackmer Foot and Ankle and I was TERRIFIED! It was virtually painless! The doctor is fantastic and very charismatic, the ladies at the front are so kind and welcoming. They made it be such an enjoyable experience and I cannot recommend Blackmer Foot and Ankle enough. As someone with high anxiety I felt welcomed, calm and comfortable from the moment I stepped into their office.

I have seen 4 different professionals about issues with ingrown toenails over the last 3 years, and none of them have been effective. Dr. Blackmer has been the first one to successfully fix the problems I was having. The whole process was quick and painless, and Dr. Blackmer is probably the coolest dude on the planet. His entire staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Would recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Blackmer and his staff were outstanding. They were friendly and very personable. Dr. Blackmer was able to identify my foot problem very quickly. In very short order he had a plan, and they even were able to give me a laser treatment for my condition on the spot. Very thankful that I found Dr. Blackmer and his staff.
