A dental cleaning is a professional cleaning you receive from a dentist or dental hygienist. Most simple cleanings or prophylaxis take only between 35 and 45 minutes. Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup for patients not at high risk for decay or periodontal disease.

The cosmetic dental work involved with getting implants is a two-step process. The first step is to have Dr. Cook insert the titanium screw into the jaw bone. This will serve as the tooth's "root." After the oral surgery, the area needs to heal for four to six months. During this time, the titanium fuses to the jawbone, anchoring it in a manner similar to a real tooth root.
Dentures

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain, while complete dentures are used to completely replace all teeth.
