Consumers and industry professionals alike mistakenly substitute "sugar waxing" for sugaring. Our sugaring training courses in Philadelphia, PA embrace the ancient Egyptian method of sugaring practiced for thousands of years. Using a paste consisting of sugar, water, and lemon juice, hair is more efficiently removed from all areas of the body.

Dating all the way back to the ancient Egyptians, sugaring is one of the best, most gentle, natural, and long-lasting treatments to eliminate unwanted hair from all areas of the body. It's an exceptional option for all skin types, hair textures and skin sensitivities, and especially popular for Brazilian, bikini, underarm, and eyebrow services.
FAQs
Report
A Sugaring is a form of hair removal that dates back to Ancient Egyptian times. It is a process by which a warmed sugar paste (ours is organic and fair trade) is applied to the desired area of the body and molded several times. As the sugar paste is molded, it adheres to the hair at the follicle. Through a gentle flicking motion, the hair is removed from the root in the natural direction of growth.
Aftercare and Maintenance
Report
For 48 hours after a sugaring treatment, hair follicles will remain open and skin may be more sensitive. So, it's important to be aware of certain post-treatment recommendations. Natural oils, body butters, and serums are great options for keeping sugared skin hydrated, but should not be applied in the area to be sugared on the day of the appointment.
