Hier Drilling Co began in the fall of 1944, as Hier & Price Drilling Contractors, by Archie Hier and Art Price. In 1972, the company split with Ralph Norden taking on the pump service, JA Price handling the deep industrial type work, leaving Hier Drilling Co to specialize in the domestic and household wells.
