Carolina Pet Resort in the Irmo area of Columbia, SC, is family owned and operated, and we are committed to making your pet's stay pleasurable and safe. We enjoy what we do and are proud of the excellent reputation we have built. We offer boarding for dogs, cats, and other small pets. We also provide grooming for dogs.

Carolina Pet Resort has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has been a member of the IBPSA (International Boarding & Pet Services Association), or its predecessors, since we opened the pet kennel in 2001. The 5,300 square foot facility is located on 8 wooded acres in the Irmo/Dutch Fork area NW of Columbia, SC.

Vaccinations - must be current on Rabies and Distemper; Bordetella vaccination for canine cough within last 6 months (nasal/oral) or 12 months (injectable) - vet record required. Bordetella must be given 3 days prior to coming. SPECIAL REQUEST above and beyond what we offer will be charged an $8 fee.

Grooming

We offer baths and all-breed grooming while your dog is staying with us (on request), or by appointment. Vaccinations are required. Prices shown below are starting base prices. Prices are based on temperament of dog, breed and condition of coat (mats, heavy undercoat, fleas, etc.). Dogs such as chows, Huskies, German Shepherds that have a double coat will be in a higher price range due to the extra time it takes to properly groom them.

Carolina Pet Resort offers raised beds for use while staying in the kennel for $1 per night. We also offer nature walks (each 10-15 minutes). The kennel sits on 8 acres in Columbia, SC, in the Irmo area, and we have cut trails through the woods that are used for the nature walks. There is an additional charge of $8 per nature walk.

Reservations

Report

Holidays and peak vacation times are busy for everyone, and we impose a charge for a 3-4 day minimum stay during these times. This allows us to schedule the occupancy (and cleaning) of our kennels so that your pet's accommodations are ready when you arrive. It also allows us to minimize scheduling conflicts.

Vaccinations

Report

We require proof of vaccinations from your veterinarian for both dogs and cats for the protection of all of our clients. This includes both boarding and grooming. Many of our clients find it easy to have the vet fax the updated records each time they visit the vet. Our fax number is (803) 749-1378.
