If you're a Rush fan, you've guessed correctly that the name originates from the seminal '2112' album, a masterpiece about creative and intellectual freedom. We were inspired by the concept of staying true to our artistic ideals and creating something authentic. When launching the firm we aspired to a truly open and collaborative studio where ideas would be welcomed and creativity would flourish.
We knew it was risky starting a firm in 2011 but we thought we'd rather go for it and maybe go down in flames than to compromise or never even try. This was the parallel we drew from Rush and the making of the 2112 album. While certainly not required to know any of this backstory, if you had guessed the Rush connection, you're in a special population of prog rock enthusiasts!

Regardless of scope or scale of the project, our first task is to study, ask questions, listen and learn in order to fully understand client needs and goals. This is a key step in establishing a program for the project and prioritizing design goals. Our experience plays a key role in the project visioning.
