Referrals to different medical specialists and subspecialists, physical therapists, chiropractors, podiatrists, etc. are made if necessary. We refer patients to imaging centers to have X-rays, CT scans and MRIs in order to establish a specific diagnosis. Dr. Igor Smelyansky also performs EMG tests in order to find out the exact source of the patient's symptoms (he graduated from a prestigious NYU Medical Center EMG/EEG fellowship back in 2004).

We would like to thank all Medical Providers who refer their patients to Omega Pain Management, PC, the greater Knoxville pain center. We appreciate your trust and referrals, and please be assured that our office will make every possible effort to schedule your patients as quickly as possible. We will contact the Workers Compensation Insurance case worker in order to get prior authorization to see the patient.
New patient forms

After that, we will mail out a New Patient Packet to you. However, you do not have to wait for the mailed forms from our office. The imaging reports have to come directly from the referring doctor's office or we can always call the imaging facility where you had your studies done. It would be of great help to us if you can provide us with exact name of the imaging facility as well as the exact date when you had your imaging studies completed.

New and established patients who want to be seen at our pain clinic Knoxville TN area office can use our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) "Patient Portal" to pre-register and / or update their main personal contact account information (name, address, phone, email, etc.) Patients can also update their insurance plan, past medical and social history, the name of their primary physician, their pharmacy and what medications they are currently on.
