ALL children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential, despite their diagnoses. There is no one size fits all approach to working with children, we use a variety of diagnostic tests to evaluate your child in order to come up with a customized treatment plan unique to their needs. When it comes to speech and fine motor delays, the seven senses often times play a large role in those deficits.
For children with diagnoses like autism and ADHD, they may be under or over reactive to touch, movement, sights, sounds, smells, tastes and sounds. These reactions can lead to challenges or delays in skills needed to be successful in everyday living activities. We incorporate sensory integration strategies, where necessary, into our treatment plan in order to provide comprehensive care for your child.

Why us
Report
The concept for Cowtown Pediatrix began in 2013 in owner, Sue Khammar's, home. The clnic opened in it's current location in 2015. Since then, she has tripled her physical and staffing capacity and successfully treated and discharged children with a wide variety of diagnoses and developmental delays.
Just like adults, children have jobs too. Their jobs are to play and learn but sometimes certain diagnoses like autism, ADHD, Down syndrome or developmental delays can make those things more difficult. That's where we come in to help. All of these conditions can affect a child's ability to do daily tasks such as getting dressed, going to the bathroom, eating, coloring, writing and interacting appropriately with others.
Speech/feeding
Report
Speech therapists, also known as speech language pathologists, can work with children on a wide variety of issues related to speech, reading, spelling and even social skills. Just like with occupational therapy, certain diagnoses can cause challenges for children in these areas.
We can work with your child on articulation issues, stuttering, understanding (receptive language) and expressing (expressive language) themselves and using language appropriately (pragmatic language) in social situations. The goal of feeding therapy is to help children develop normal, effective feeding patterns and behaviors.
