For over 50 years Oakland Periodontal Associates has provided excellence in periodontal therapy throughout the greater Pittsburgh region. Our staff is dedicated to providing you with the finest and most professional quality of periodontal care available today. Dr. James H. Meyers received a B.S. degree in Cardio-Pulmonary Science from Boston University and a D.M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Periodontists are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation. Periodontists receive extensive training in these areas, including three additional years of education beyond dental school.

We are proud of our office, which utilizes state of the art equipment and advanced sterilization systems. Our caring staff, comforting doctors and soothing background music give our dental office a stress-free, relaxing atmosphere.

Please call (412) 681-6552 to schedule an appointment, our office hours are Monday, Tuesday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. If you reach our office after hours you may leave your name and telephone number and we will return your call the next business day. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.
