Greenville Aviation was established in 1967, making it the oldest flight school and aircraft rental company in Greenville, South Carolina. To accommodate our growing fleet, we have expanded to a much larger training facility with more classrooms, a lounge area, space for our newly added FAA Certified full motion simulator, and a heated hanger - for preflighting during the colder months.
Aeronautical knowledge can be difficult to maintain; ask about ground lessons to either refresh your current knowledge or learn something entirely new. There's numerous airports and navigational aids nearby that offer all the requirements necessary for instrument training and IPC's.

Private Pilot License
Report
With a Private Pilot's License you can rent or buy an airplane and fly it anywhere in the world. You can turn that grueling 6 hour drive into a quick couple hours of relaxation. It's a status symbol for sure, and a long time dream for many people like yourself. It can take as little as a month, or as long as a year depending on how often you train.
Instrument Rating
Report
The Instrument Rating is an add on to your Pilot's License that allows you to fly an airplane inside of clouds using only the instruments in the cockpit. You have to have a Pilots License. You have to have 50 hours of cross country flight under your belt. You have to have logged at least 40 hours of real or simulated flight in the clouds, and at least 15 of those have to be done with a Certified Flight Instructor.
Commercial Pilot's License
Report
If you want to make money as a pilot, you need a Commercial Pilot's license. Whether you want to become a Certified Flight Instructor and give back to the community, an Airline Captain leading a group of flight attendants thru the airport, or a Corporate pilot working 5 hours a week wishing you didn't spend all your life in the Bahamas; you gotta get your Commercial Pilot's License.
Redbird BATD Simulator Certified
Report
Our FAA certified simulator allows you to cut down on the cost of flight training by allowing time to be logged. You can log 2.5 hours towards your Private Pilot License and up to 10 hours towards an instrument rating. It is also good for instrument currency, or keeping this skills sharp when weather doesn't permit a flight.
