Report
Outi is the incredibly talented potter and passionate smile and heart behind Mugi Pottery. As a potter, I am not interested in production pottery. I much prefer exploring the process in a less result oriented context. Becoming a potter to me meant embarking on a journey, destination unknown and not important.
Adult Classes
Report
All adult pottery classes focus on wheel-throwing techniques and accommodate skill levels from a total beginner to very advanced pottery veteran. Our small group size ensures individual guidance and ample time with the instructor to address any questions our students have. Various throwing projects, glazing, and surface techniques will be explored in all of the classes.

Kids learn different handbuilding techniques including slabs, coils. Pinched pots are studied in Tuesday class. During Thursday classes, we try our hands at throwing.
Intro to the Wheel
Report
Since any work made on the pottery wheel requires more than one session to finish the pieces, none of the work will be completed in this class. We make lots of pottery to take home in our Adult Classes. If you're ready to sign up for a full class series, you can do so without taking this introductory class.
