It was then that "Miss Helen" Wingo realized many of the children entering Kindergarten had difficulty adjusting socially, emotionally as well as academically.

Pre-K

We offer three Preschool pod programs: Sunshine Kids for our three year olds, Clover Club for our four year olds and Rainbow Dreamers for our younger five year olds. Within each pod children rotate between teachers and classrooms as they study Spanish and Music, Art, Stories and Science and Dance encompassing tap, ballet and tumbling.
Kindergarten

Developed in 1922 by Dr. Arnold Gesell, who founded the Yale Clinic of Child Development in New Haven, the screen is based on his theory that children develop in comprehensible patterns but at different rates. Four areas of development are evaluated: social skills, language development, motor skills and adaptive behavior.
Elementary
Report
A comprehensive curriculum is provided for grades 1-5 in a multi-age grouping. The classroom environment is open and flexible to meet individual needs and the method of instruction is tailored to fit the learning styles and personality of each student. Elementary students at Miss Helen's also have music instruction, physical education, computer lab and Spanish lessons.
Sessions

Miss Helen's prides itself on offering full academic sessions year round. Our Academic Session starts in mid August and is completed in May. Our Summer Session begins after the Memorial Day holiday and concludes in August. Students may arrive at school as early as 7:30 AM and remain until 6:00 PM without incurring Before or After care charges.
