For 27 years, Asbesto-Test, Inc. has provided experienced consulting, Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) surveys and inspections, asbestos sampling and asbestos analysis. But we can take care of more than just asbestos testing for you! We are also EPA certified for lead paint testing. We can provide help with Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) testing as well.
This comes in handy often, as it is required in some demolition projects. Our inspectors are all AHERA certified asbestos building inspectors. Our laboratory is American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) proficient in the Bulk Asbestors Proficiency Analytical Testing Program, which is an approved testing program.

Often times, we get calls from people who don't understand or question the reasons as to why they need an asbestos survey prior to demolition or renovation. Some people get upset they have to jump through the hoops, while others are more than happy to comply with regulation. Perhaps the most frequent complaint we get is, What difference does it make?
FAQ about Vermiculite
Report
A: Yes, and no, but mostly no. The short of it is this. Polarized Light Microscopy (or PLM for short) can not tell you if your vermiculite DOESN'T contain asbestos. The reason being that there are entirely too many nooks and cranny's in the stuff for asbestos fibers to hide. It's akin to trying to catch minnows with a shark net.
