Amber Waves Diving Co. started in 2008, with a vision to create a dive club atmosphere where divers of all levels could come to find friendly smiles, dive conversation, great training and gear at reasonable prices. The original owners knew that putting a shop in Augusta, KS and not in the middle of metro Wichita would create a difficult marketing task.

If you've always wondered what lies beneath the surface, now's the time to find out. Start the journey of a lifetime with the PADI Open Water Diver course. It will change you forever. Throughout the course, you'll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing two separate sessions which are described below.
For The Kids

Amber Waves Diving Company loves kids and believes snorkeling, skin diving and SCUBA diving are great FAMILY sports! We can begin working with kids as young as 8 years old! Kids 10 and up can earn a SCUBA certification. The PADI Bubblemaker program is for boys and girls age 8 and above. It's fun, easy and safe.
Advance Your Training

Advanced Open Water Diver involves 5 Adventure Dives, which are guided dives with your Instructor to experience a wider range of diving activities. Two of the dives, the deep dive and a navigation dive, are required. Then you and your Instructor will choose 3 other interesting and fun options. Your Instructor will also review the knowledge you gained through independent study in preparation for each dive.
