We took a guest photographer, Kevin Pack, with us to go explore the Bechler River country. We dealt with increasingly difficult weather, starting with heavy rain one day and then turning to snow on our ride out, but we got some nice pictures of waterfall and wildlife, that this kind of weather brings out.

How To Get There

There are two main airports in close proximity to Yellowstone National Park and several smaller fields for commuter flights and private planes. The one north of the park is The Bozeman Yellowstone Airport at Gallatin Field. The airport south of Yellowstone is Jackson Hole Airport. From here you can rent a car and Travel through Teton Park up through the Rockefeller parkway into Yellowstone National Park.

Our Yellowstone horseback day rides are like mini pack trips, with all of the education, stories, riding and fun as a pack trip only much shorter. We give a mini riding lesson at the trailhead before we leave for a ride. Before heading down the trail you will learn to mount, dismount, go forward, left, right, stop and back up.
