Dressage- the art of training a horse in the manner that develops obedience, flexability and balance. GKM Equestrian is a local, easy-to-access equestrian facility in Leeds, Alabama. Our privately owned facility offers boarding, training, leasing, lessons, and camps to introduce you to the equestrian lifestyle and help your grow in a comfortable environment.
Our multi-discipline facility features a large jumping arena, a dressage arena, a lesson arena, and a round pen. The horses are stalled in either our lesson or show barn, and there are several paddocks and two large pastures with plenty of grass. We are dedicated to the horses we own, lease, or board, and focus on health by feeding quality hay and grain.

How We Work
Report
We do things differently at GKM Equestrian, you don't just come get on a horse. You'll learn how to properly groom your horse with all the necessary steps to keep them and you looking your best. Next you will learn how to correctly and safely tack up your horse or pony. You will also get to experience many different types of saddles and bridles used in other riding disciplines.

GKM Equestrian is a full service multi-discliplined equestrian facility and Riding Academy. Our farm in Leeds, Alabama, is located 20 minutes from Downtown Birmingham and convenient to Mountain Brook, Homewood, Trussville, Irondale, Leeds and Moody (you do NOT have to travel 280 to get to our facility).

Our riding lessons are great for all ages, and for skill levels from beginner to advanced.
Sales/Leasing

We offer both full and partial leases on some of our school ponies and horses, providing a great way to learn about equestrian lifestyle, horsemanship, and horse showing, without the expense and lifetime commitment of buying and caring for your own horse. Partial leases are $600 per month, and include one lesson a week and two days to come free ride.
Rehab / Retirement

GKM Equestrian is a wonderful place to rehab your injured horse or retire your equine partner. With 40 plus years of horse knowledge our team knows how to provide excellent proper care and pamper your partner. Keeping injured horses happy, healthy and sane is not an easy task in the hustle and bustle of a busy show barn.
