Zumi's Espresso is an independently owned coffeehouse and ice cream bar that has been the North Shore's exemplary destination for coffee, ice cream, tea, pastries, bagels, and frappes since 2003. Our fair trade certified organic coffee comes from one roaster who gets his beans from a handful of farmers in several countries around the world.
Everyone involved in the growing, harvesting, roasting, and brewing of our coffee shares our concern for the coffee industry's environmental, ethical, and economic impact on the world. Zumi's Espresso is a coffeehouse and ice cream bar that was founded in 2003 by Zillie and Umesh Bhuju. Our objective is to promote sustainable coffee practices and treat everyone involved or affected by our business with respect, from the farmers who grow our beans to the customers who buy our coffee.

Here at Zumi's Espresso we value balance in life. We wish to provide our loyal customers with a great tasting coffee while compensating the hard working farmers who grow it! We offer 100% certified fair-trade and organic coffee, making sure we help find that balance in life one cup at a time. Our signature Fair Trade and organic French roast features coffees from Ethiopia, Sumatra and Nicaragua.

Let Zumi's Espresso serve coffee, pastries, and more at your next rehearsal, reunion, graduation, dinner party, or other special event. We can prepare coffee for up to 500 people and we're happy to offer recommendations for necessary quantities based on our prior experience. In order to prepare any sizeable quantity of pastries, we do ask for a minimum of 3 days' notice.

As part of their long-standing support of the community, Zumi's recently made a donation to the Ipswich River Watershed Association to help purchase a new kayak launch to improve paddling on the Ipswich River. The event is free and open to the public. This article proves that coffee shops not only serve as a way of business, but also a way of life.

ZUMI'S is a new and exciting cafe-style business in the heart of downtown Ipswich. We are seeking outgoing individuals with an appreciation of fine coffee and ice cream to join our growing team. Applicants should be available in the summer, year-round, or interested in returning from one academic year (or summer) to the next.
